Multiplication Fact Practice

 Today in third grade we moved on to the x4's.  So far we have done the x0, x1, x2, x3, x5, and x10s.  After our whole class lesson and individual practice, I wanted the kids to get a chance to practice their facts in a fun way. 

Since flashcards can be boring to a third grader, I decided to create a "game" for fact practice.  First I downloaded free game boards from The School Bell.  I had students color them in when they finished their classwork and laminated them. 

I created some multiplication facts cards.  Some sets had missing products and others had missing factors.  You can click here and here to get them in my TPT store.

 

 The student flipped a card and had to find the missing number on it (factor or product).  If they got it right, they could roll the die and move that many spaces.  Simple enough right?

I was able to personalize the facts cards for each group, so some decks were more simple (0s, 1s, 2s, 3s, 5s, and 10s) while other decks were more challenging (for those that needed a challenge).  My more advanced students used the cards in the picture above (looking for the missing factor).

 I was short on fact cards and quickly improvised.  I used some multiplication flash cards for my last group and they were able to pick the fact on the front of the fact on the back to answer.
