Multiplication Practice: Multiply and Draw

I am always on the look out for fun and meaningful multiplication fact practice.  Today we did a "Multiply and Draw" activity and it was amazing!  Don't you just love when you are working with a student, you look up, and the whole class is engaged with the activity at hand!?  It makes me wish that my principal was there doing my informal observation ;)  Today my students were so absorbed in their fact practice, they were almost late heading out to recess and they were begging me to keep practicing!
We started with the x2 facts.  I had everyone come to my table so that I could model how to play the game.  I told them that they would be working with a partner and they would take turns spinning the spinner (large paper clip).  Once they spun, they would have to answer a corresponding math fact.  Then it would be their partner's turn.  Once they completed a math fact section, they could draw that part of the picture.  Today they were all working on drawing a fox.  Each page is like a mini directed drawing.  We all know how much elementary and intermediate students LOVE directed drawings!  Once they completed all of the math facts, they had a complete picture.
I plan on letting them continue to practice their math facts with the other sheets in the product throughout the next few weeks.  I have also created an addition version which is available in my teachers pay teachers store!
Enjoy!
